The star has given the full amount of his £25,000 honor prize money to the trust for venues, which functions to preserve the UK's grassroots concert spaces.
He was awarded the award on mid-October as his third album the album was chosen as the outstanding release of the last 12 months.
The musician has decided to donate the funds to the trust, in acknowledgment of the essential function local spots fulfilled in his early career.
"As an artist would not have achieved this success if it hadn't been for all the shows I played around the North East, and elsewhere, when I was beginning," said the artist. "These spaces are legendary, but they are struggling."
Beginning in 2023, at least 150 of these spaces have ceased operations – about one-sixth of the total UK scene.
Recently, top acts like Pulp, the group Coldplay, Katy Perry and Sheeran have all aided the Music Venues Trust in its initiatives to help venues survive, by adding a modest fee to their ticket prices, which goes to help local stages.
Sam Fender also participated, generating in excess of £100,000 on his live tour to support thirty-eight small stages across England, Scotland, and Wales.
The money assisted venues that were dealing with potential shutdown due to issues arising from water damage, fires and personal losses, as well as permit problems, court cases and neighbor objections.
Some locations were granted financial assistance in improving facilities and technical equipment that positively impacted performers and concertgoers.
"The notion that funds from shows in major spaces backs the local stages, where it kicks off for musicians like me, is just common sense," Fender has stated.
Fender is among several artists to contribute his honor funds to good deeds.
Back when Pulp received the trophy in 1996 for their record the album, lead singer the singer announced that the band would give their winnings to the organization War Child.
During 2002, musician Ms Dynamite split her prize between multiple organizations, including the NSPCC and a Sickle Cell charity.
"Additionally, I donated a thousand pounds to Highgate Newtown, to their gymnastics program, because I trained in gymnastics when I was growing up and they lacked better apparatus," Ms Dynamite explained to the media.
In recent years, the band contributed their funds to the youth organization that supported their act, as well as other local music groups.
And 1994 winners M People donated their winnings to a multiple sclerosis charity after a friend was found to have the condition.
"The victory was ample," stated singer Small. "The cash was the cherry on top but we didn't need the bonus, because we had the cake. So our winning impacted somebody else's life."
In the past week, the Music Venues Trust announced it had saved a couple of local spots in that region, by placing them under local control.
One venue in the city and the other in that location were acquired under the community ownership program, which is supported by the arts council and enthusiasts who acquire "ownership units" in the buildings.
